The castle town of Prudhoe is the gateway to the green and pleasant land of Tynedale in the county of Northumberland, England.

Prudhoe is pronounced as "pruddah" and the name means 'proud heights'.

  Come to Prudhoe by rail on the Newcastle-Carlisle line or by road on the A695. We're just 20 minutes by road from Newcastle International Airport.

A Song for all People
Prudhoe's famous male-voice choir has
been making music for over 100 years
 Visit the Prudhoe Gleemen website  
Founded in nearby Wylam in 1903 with
just eight members, the choir moved to
Prudhoe and took up its present title.
